Who we areAn independent deal desk, not a coupon farm
ActivateDeals is a small, independent team that tracks online prices all day so you don't have to. We publish what's genuinely worth buying — and we say so when nothing is.
Our story
ActivateDeals started with a spreadsheet. A few of us kept sending each other links whenever a gadget dropped to a genuinely good price, or a store quietly ran a code that stacked with a clearance sale. The list grew, friends asked to be added, and at some point it stopped being a group chat and started being a job.
The frustration behind it was simple. The deals corner of the internet is full of sites that auto-scrape thousands of listings, never check a single one, and dress everything up with fake countdown clocks. You click through, the code fails, the "was" price turns out to be fiction, and you've wasted ten minutes.
We wanted the opposite: fewer posts, all of them checked, with the fine print written out in plain language. That's still the whole idea.
What we believe
A discount is only a discount if the original price was real. A code is only useful if it actually applies at checkout. And a deal site is only worth reading if it's willing to tell you when something isn't a good buy. Those three rules decide everything we publish.
Independent
No brand can pay for placement. If a product is featured, it's because the price stood up to a check.
Checked by humans
Automation helps us find candidates. A person decides what actually goes live.
Kept current
Dead offers get pulled. Expiry dates are published so you know what you're looking at.
Low noise
We'd rather send you three emails you open than thirty you delete.
How a deal gets published
Every offer goes through the same short pipeline before it reaches the site.
Sourcing
Retailer feeds, brand mailing lists, clearance pages, reader tips and community boards get swept every morning.
Price check
We compare against the item's recent selling history. Inflated reference prices get called out or the deal gets dropped.
Code test
Promo codes are run through a real basket. If it doesn't apply, it doesn't get posted.
Write-up
Conditions, exclusions, regions and expiry are written out plainly, then the deal goes live.
What we are not
- We are not a shop — we never sell products or take orders
- We never process payments and never store card details
- We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the retailers we mention
- We do not guarantee stock, pricing or availability — those belong to the retailer
- We don't run paid "sponsored deal" slots dressed up as editorial
